The Cogans have been long time friends and clients. Our first photo shoot took place when I shot their engagement session which you can see here. Fast forward a few years and they are now a perfect family with a beautiful baby girl and a boy on the way! We all agreed that the approach for their shoot should be more like a fun, lighthearted and casual “day in the life of” than a posy grind of a shoot that no toddler would stand long for. Quite honestly that is the way I prefer to approach my family portrait sessions. For one, it keeps the kiddos more entertained and secondly it allows for the close relationships between family members to come through in the images in the form of genuine smiles and specially tender moments. I think our approach worked.
