Lindsey’s Hermosa Beach Maternity Photo Shoot

Had a great time working with Lindsey & her husband James recently. We decided to shoot at the Hermosa Beach pier and the goal was to capture simple yet elegant maternity images of Lindsey while at the same time conveying the openness of the environment we were shooting in. Oh yeah, and if there happened to be a great sunset while we were there, we would try to get a great sunset shot of Lindsey…. I think we succeeded in all accounts.

Julie’s Maternity Session

So this was my first on location maternity shoot. The first few were all shot in-studio but for Julie’s shoot I though it would be a nice change of pace to have our shoot at one of my favorite parks. Julie and her family looked like they had just stepped out of a magazine… making my job a piece of cake! LOL

Kristen’s Maternity Ssession

The more that I shoot maternity sessions, the more I enjoy them! Much like a wedding there is an anticipation that is palpable, there is something wonderful just around the corner. I photographed Kristen as she was 40 weeks pregnant, she had a beautiful baby girl just a few days after our shoot.

Katy’s Maternity Session

It was such a pleasure working with Katy and her husband Ryan. At the time of our shoot, Katy was thirty nine weeks into her pregnancy… she looked amazing and was a true sport given the fact that even posing for pictures this far into a pregnancy can be a bit uncomfortable to say the least. Needless to say, Katy pulled it off and the images we captured turned out in my opinion… pretty cool! BTW, just a few days after this shoot, Katy & Ryan welcomed a brand new baby boy into their lives!
