As a wedding and portrait photographer, I have the honor of photographing many of the most important moments in my clients lives. One such moment took place recently for April & Ted when Ted asked April for her hand in marriage. The setting was straight out of a fairy tale… soft sandy beach, the sound of waves crashing, a breeze blowing and a spectacular sunset all taking place simultaneously as Ted proposed…. By the way… April said yes!

Briana & Dave’s Manhattan Beach Engagement Session

I have to be honest, I’ve totally slacked at blogging lately. I’m making a conscious effort to get back into the blogging thing with total regularity. With that said…. Meet Briana and Dave! World travelers, free spirits, creatives, the list goes on and on. Individually, Briana is the beautiful & well traveled surfer girl next door and Dave is quiet, confident and artistic. As I’ve mentioned above, these two have traveled the world together and boy can they tell you a story or two. If I can only achieve to travel half of what Briana and Dave have traveled, I can die a happy well traveled old dude! Traveling and surfing… among other things, are very important to both Briana & Dave. With this in mind we came up with a theme for their engagement shoot. First of all we absolutely had to feature their old school Volvo wagon in a few of our shots. The Volvo has been there since the beginning and has taken them from Surfing outings to mountain roads to off-roading in the high desert. The Volvo, has seen it all. Secondly we wanted to include their surfboards in the shoot. I think we accomplished both of those requirements. Briana & Dave will be married this New Year’s Eve and I’m honored to say that I’ll be there to photograph their wedding day as well. Hang ten folks.

Brigid & Xavier’s Downtown L.A. Engagement Session

Brigid and Xavier have recently moved to L.A. from the Midwest. They are both loving life in Los Angeles and are thrilled with all our city has to offer. They’ll soon be married at the beach and thus wanted to make their engagement session more about the urban side of Los Angeles…. so urban I gave them! Hope you enjoy.

Raman & Kurt’s Hermosa Beach Engagement Shoot

Meet Raman & Kurt, they are my kind of peeps… fun loving, easy going and a pleasure to be with. Raman & Kurt are South Bay locals, specifically Hermosa Beach and wanted to capture the local scenery as much as possible in the engagement shoot. In order to achieve this goal we decided to shoot in and around the Hermosa Beach pier area. Fortunately for us, from the very beginning of our shoot we were greeted by the amazing soft and warm sunlight that Southern California is known for, if you’re a Los Angeles wedding photographer or an Orange County wedding photographer or simply have lived in SoCal long enough, you know exactly what I’m talking about! We had a lot of laughs while capturing these images and I look forward to a whole lot more as I photograph their upcoming wedding in San Jose CA!!!
