Jess & Drew’s wedding took place at the Smog Shoppe in Culver City. From beginning to end their wedding was a perfect representation of who Jess & Drew are. First of all it was very non-traditional. Just a few of the non-traditional elements included… Bride & groom seeing each other before the ceremony, they actually got ready together (awesome!), their dog Cedar was included in the couples pre-wedding pictures, instead of a wedding cake, a substantial desserts table was offered, also, all guests were treated to a Tequila bar…. and…. a hangover kit was given to all. Lindsey’s Hermosa Beach Maternity Photo Shoot

Had a great time working with Lindsey & her husband James recently. We decided to shoot at the Hermosa Beach pier and the goal was to capture simple yet elegant maternity images of Lindsey while at the same time conveying the openness of the environment we were shooting in. Oh yeah, and if there happened to be a great sunset while we were there, we would try to get a great sunset shot of Lindsey…. I think we succeeded in all accounts.

Kristen & Arthur’s Edwards Mansion Wedding

Life is full of surprises, we all know this. You may plan your wedding down to the smallest detail but in a split second life chimes in with it’s own plan. Such was the case for Kristen & Arthur on their wedding day. The plan was to have an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful courtyard, shaded by gorgeous mature trees. The chairs were all lined up flowers delivered and placed in their appropriate places when suddenly the skies opened up over Edwards Mansion. There was to be no outdoor wedding ceremony for Kristen & Arthur. Disappointing for the bride and groom yes… probably, but not earth shattering. They were getting married one way or another and fortunately there was a plan B in the for of a charming little chapel located in the grounds of the mansion. The wedding ceremony went off in the chapel without a hitch, vows were exchanged, rings presented and placed on corresponding fingers and the “kiss” was perfect. Kristen and Arthur never looked at the rain as a negative, it never slowed them down, they accepted it and life went on. Later in the evening sometime during the reception, surprisingly and without a second of hesitation, they took me up on my offer … it went something like this… “Hey guys, I know it’s pouring cats and dogs out there but if my equipment doesn’t short out from the rain, I think we can walk away with a pretty epic shot.” Long story short, we all got soaked but we also GOT that epic shot in the rain. You’ll know it when you see it. Kristen & Arthur, thanks for being so flexible, fun and adventurous. I had a blast being your photographer!

Liza & Steve’s Palos Verdes Country Club Wedding

Oh my gosh finally! It’s been months since I’ve had a chance to update my photography blog… not that I don’t care, but simply, I’ve been so busy with shooting and editing weddings, family portrait sessions, engagement session, newborn sessions, events, etc, etc, that I simply haven’t had the time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very thankful for all the work I get these days. I simply wish there were more time in my days. Anyhow, I’m making an effort to update my blog more often. I’ve worked with so many great clients, and I want to share! On to the sharing! A while back Liza, Steve & I had a great time shooting their engagement session. Fast forward to their wedding day… which started with a tea ceremony at Liza’s parents place, from there lunch was had as well as a wardrobe change for the bride and we all headed over to the beautiful Palos Verdes Country Club where Liza & Steve’s fabulous wedding took place. Kristen & Arthur’s Rain Shot – Edwards Mansion Wedding

Kristen & Arthur’s wedding took place this past Saturday. Unfortunately, it didn’t just rain on their wedding day, it Poured. They chose to stay positive and had a great time regardless. Together we used the rain to create a delightfully unique image that perfectly captured their day. When life gives you lemons… make lemonade.

Below are most of the images I’ll be showing at the first ever El Segundo Art Walk. The images will be printed on canvas and stretched on a wood frame with wrap around edges. Since these are all landscapes, I decided to go BIG, several of these measure 70′ x 30′. BTW, this is the first time I will show my landscape work publicly and I have to say that “m very excited! The Art Walk will be taking place on the Third Thursday of each summer month, June, July & August. My work will be shown on June 18th at the Copper Willow Paper Studio located at 349 Richmond Street El Segundo, CA 90245. Doors open at 7pm. All prints will be available for purchase. April & Ted’s Manhattan Beach Proposal

As a wedding and portrait photographer, I have the honor of photographing many of the most important moments in my clients lives. One such moment took place recently for April & Ted when Ted asked April for her hand in marriage. The setting was straight out of a fairy tale… soft sandy beach, the sound of waves crashing, a breeze blowing and a spectacular sunset all taking place simultaneously as Ted proposed…. By the way… April said yes!

This is the third time I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Shea family. Seems like just yesterday that I shot Katy’s maternity session which was shot in studio at Redondo Beach here’s a link. Then it was Ryan’s sister wedding in Palos Verdes here’s a link. Fast forward to the present day and now I’m photographing their family portrait… how time flies.
